The Journey at a Glance

Tap any step to jump straight to the details.

01

Discovery & Consultation

~1 hour (scheduled within a week)

It starts with a complimentary in-home or virtual meeting where we learn your lifestyle, must-haves, and budget range, then walk your property to assess access, grading, sun, views, and utilities.

Your part: share your inspiration, priorities, and budget range.

02

Custom Design & 3D Renderings

1–3 weeks

Our designers create photorealistic 3D renderings so you can "walk" your future backyard before we ever break ground, refining the shape, features, and materials until it's exactly right.

Your part: review the renderings and request revisions.

03

Proposal, Selections & Agreement

~1 week

You receive a transparent, line-item proposal. We finalize every selection — tile, coping, interior finish, decking, and equipment — then sign the agreement and reserve your spot on the build calendar.

Your part: approve the scope and finishes, and sign.

04

Engineering, Permits & HOA Approval

2–6 weeks (varies by city & HOA)

We handle the paperwork: structural and soil engineering, construction drawings, city permits, and HOA architectural approval. This is the biggest variable in any build, and we manage all of it for you.

Your part: provide HOA documents and property access.

05

Pre-Construction & Layout

1–2 days

We locate utilities (811), protect your property and access routes, and paint or form the exact layout on the ground so you can see your pool's footprint before a shovel touches the soil.

Your part: clear the area and secure pets.

06

Excavation

1–3 days

The dig begins. We excavate to the approved design, haul off the spoil, and rough-grade the site, carefully managing equipment and access to protect your yard.

07

Steel (Rebar)

2–4 days

Skilled crews tie an engineered steel rebar cage — the strong skeleton that gives your pool its structural integrity for decades to come.

08

Rough Plumbing, Gas & Electrical

3–5 days

We install returns, skimmers, main drains, and lines for water and fire features, plus gas, bonding, and electrical rough-in, then pressure-test everything to make sure it's flawless.

09

Gunite / Shotcrete Shell

1 day to shoot + 7–10 days curing

Your pool shell is sprayed in place and hand-shaped for steps, benches, and spa. It then water-cures over the following days to reach full strength.

10

Tile, Coping & Masonry

1–2 weeks

Artisans install your waterline tile, coping, spa, raised walls, stone veneer, and any custom masonry — the details that make your pool unmistakably yours.

Your part: confirm final tile and coping choices.

11

Decking & Hardscape

1–2 weeks

We build your decking — travertine, pavers, or concrete — along with outdoor kitchens, fire features, pergolas, and the surrounding hardscape that ties it all together.

12

Equipment, Automation & Features

3–5 days

Pumps, filtration, heating, salt or chlorine systems, LED lighting, and smart automation go in, so you can control your entire pool from your phone, along with your water and fire features.

13

Interior Finish

1–2 days to apply; 24–48 hrs to fill

Your chosen quartz or pebble interior is applied, giving the pool its final color, texture, and feel. Filling begins the moment it's complete.

14

Startup & Water Chemistry

Stabilizes over 2–4 weeks

We start up the equipment, condition and brush the new finish, and carefully balance your water chemistry over the first weeks, then complete final grading, landscaping, and site cleanup.

15

Pool School & Handover

~1 day

We walk you through everything with a hands-on "Pool School" — operating your equipment and automation, plus maintenance basics — and hand over your warranty documents and a completed punch list.

Your part: learn your new system and start enjoying it.

16

Warranty & Ongoing Support

Ongoing

You're covered by structural and equipment warranties, with optional maintenance plans and a team that's always just a phone call away.

So… how long does it take?

Most projects take about 8–16 weeks from signed contract to swim, after permits and HOA approval. Timelines vary with scope, custom features, weather, and municipal or HOA schedules — we'll give you a project-specific timeline before we ever break ground.
